The Heart of Our Supporters (Part II)

By Ed Lyons

The response has been amazing to say the least. In our September e-newsletter, we asked you to contact us with your praises and prayer concerns. You did.

Almost immediately, we started receiving notes of thanksgiving for answered prayer, as well as for the evident move of God in your lives. We received prayer requests for the salvation of loved ones, for healing from past abuses, for the ability to teach children effectively, for finding employment and meeting one’s financial obligations, for physical healing, for God’s blessing on personal ministry outreaches, and for peace.

Your correspondence enables us to give back. We are in the ministry of giving good gifts to the less fortunate and to the persecuted in South Sudan, but we rarely have the opportunity to bless those who bless us.

Now we can, through prayer and an encouraging word.

Prayer is a powerful tool in the lives of Christians. After putting on the armor of God, we are told to “pray always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.” (Eph 6:18)

But our prayers are not just for the saints. They are for everyone. “Therefore, I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men.” (1Tim 2:1)

So keep sending us your praises and prayer concerns, and we’ll keep taking them to the Lord. And may God show Himself strong on your behalf.
